FAFPI Blueprint
In FAFPI, we have defined a Blueprint for fighting facilitation payments and are developing each element comprising this Blueprint.
We not only develop this blueprint, but we also provide our members with practical tools for its implementation.
Reporting on demands for facilitation payments
Our reporting system compiles a dataset documenting instances of facilitation payment demands. The system only tracks the occurrence of such demands, not whether the facilitation payment was made. This ensures that reporting organisations are not incriminated.
Input for collective action
By establishing this dataset, FAFPI enables targeted collective advocacy and engagement with local authorities and civil society stakeholders with concrete evidence. This is intended to transform policies and eliminate these demands.
Members' commitment
FAFPI members are committed to establishing an internal reporting system for collecting data regarding demands for facilitation payments. Besides, they are committed to using the FAFPI reporting tool within two years of becoming FAFPI members.

This tool enables us to build an aggregated dataset of facilitation payments. The aggregated data from multiple stakeholders provides concrete evidence when engaging with governments and societal stakeholders to fight against facilitation payments.

Risk Assessment
The primary purpose of this tool is to determine whether facilitation payments are a significant concern in your organisation. It is also a useful tool for selecting a focus area(s) with the highest risk of facilitation payments in the organisation.
Management Support
It is essential to get management to understand and support the effort to address the facilitation payment issue and to join the collective action. FAFPI has developed a set of documents to help you communicate the reasoning why and a FAQ that provides answers to the most common management questions.
